NESPA's Government Relations Action Committee (GRAC) brings together dedicated member volunteers and lobbyists on behalf of our members to oppose onerous over-regulation and advocate for our industry. We have important relationships with Federal, State and local officials and are in regular contact to share our industry’s perspective on legislation.

NEW Class! Principles of Plumbing

We've added a new class to our training schedule this March. Principles of Plumbing offers classroom instruction and live equipment demonstrations to help students properly layout and assemble piping for swimming pools and spas.

Taught by Kevin Misley of Mystic Pools, the course will cover:

Identifying different types of pipe and fittings and their sizes used for pools and spas
Specialty fittings for new construction, renovations, and repair work
Types of glues
Tools used for measuring and cutting pipe
Tools for bending pipe
Equipment pad layout for ease of servicing and winterizing
Setting pipe properly in trenches and the use of proper materials to backfill
Pressure testing
Labeling piping and equipment
Pro tips and tricks
Job site photos

Students will get the chance to view a fully prepped job site trailer packed with all the tools needed to be ready for success.
