President's Message

Whether it’s the holiday season as a whole or Thanksgiving specifically, this is the time of year when many of us reflect on our blessings and what we are most grateful for individually. This year is even more special as we can come together with family and friends that we might not have had the ability to celebrate with last year.

The same can be said for the upcoming Pool & Spa Show.  Last year, we made the absolute best out of a challenging situation and delivered the virtual Pool & Spa Experience.  It was exciting to see how we reimagined the Show and delivered it in this unique, online way while still keeping, at its core, the Show we all love.

But when it comes down to it, we are better when we are together.  When we all return to Atlantic City in January for the Pool & Spa Show, NESPA will deliver everything we’ve come to expect from our in-person Show and a few new additions that will bring the networking and learning opportunities to life.

Now is the time to get your plan together for both the Show Floor and the Education Conference.  Vendor relationships were crucial in 2021, and they will continue to be next season.  Make sure to check out the Show’s online exhibitor search and the Show Floorplan now so that you can make the most of your time in Atlantic City.

Knowing that so many of us are ready to get back in the classroom, our Education Conference has expanded to offer morning and afternoon sessions.  This gives you more choices as you plan your day and helps the Show team eliminate unnecessary crowds at certain times.  To make this work smoothly, you must pick all your classes during registration.  This includes the Technical Pass.  You can view the full schedule online and even print out a Conference Planner so you can figure out what classes are best for your team.  This also means that with pre-registration, your employees are guaranteed their seats in the classes you want them to take!

As I reflect on this year, I want to thank the many volunteers who donate their time and talents to make NESPA such a strong organization.  We recently had the chance to come together to work on our strategic plan for the coming year, and nothing is better than getting this group together in person to chart our course.

I’d also like to thank the staff at NESPA.  As a member of the NESPA Board and this year as president, I’ve seen firsthand how hard the staff work behind the scenes to keep everything on track.  They are not only getting the work done but continually bringing new ideas to improve an already great organization.

There is so much to be thankful for this year, and there is so much to look forward to in the months ahead.   I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!
