Speaking with One Voice

The Northeast Pool & Spa Association is your voice on legislation and regulations impacting our industry. NESPA GRAC monitors legislative action across the region and represents the pool and spa industry when these important actions are being debated.

NESPA's Government Relations Action Committee (GRAC) brings together dedicated member volunteers and lobbyists on behalf of our members to oppose onerous over-regulation and advocate for our industry. We have important relationships with Federal, State and local officials and are in regular contact to share our industry’s perspective on legislation.

The Government Relations Action Committee consists of representatives from each of our five chapters.  If you have questions about legislation and government regulations contact NESPA at 609-689-9111.

Territory Growth in Focus: NESPA Events in Rochester & Pittsburgh

Last year, the Northeast Spa & Pool Association in partnership with the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance announced the expansion of its’ membership territory to both Western Pennsylvania and Western New York.

To connect with pool and spa professionals interested in helping to grow NESPA’s presence in these regions, Membership Drive Events were recently organized in the Pittsburgh and Rochester region.

PHTA helped NESPA to host a sold-out Pittsburgh Pirates Game Tailgate Party filled with great food, drinks, and the chance to connect with fellow pool and spa professionals before heading over to PNC Park!

While in the Pittsburgh region, NESPA also offered two, expert-led Winterization Courses to prospective members taught by Penn-Jersey Board Member, Chas Bogardus, CBP, CSP.

The event was a massive success and was the perfect mix of summer fun and networking! This event would not have been possible without the help of its' generous sponsors. Thank You to Premier Sponsors: Pool Corp & Biolab, Event Sponsor: Heritage Pool Supply Group, and General Sponsor: Jack’s Magic.

A month later in Rochester, NESPA presented an Industry Training & Networking Event that featured two courses on Pool Heater Troubleshooting and Proper Winterization taught by NESPA Trainer, Jeff Hoydis. Both education offerings had a great turnout with over 20 students in attendance!

An evening of fun and networking wrapped up the trip to Rochester at the Genesee Brew House filled with great food, drinks, and company! Several of our dedicated NESPA volunteers who made the trip to Rochester were able to connect with prospective NESPA members who were eager to learn more about the value and benefits of membership.

These two events marked an exciting step forward in NESPA’s regional growth, showcasing not only strong interest in membership but also the enthusiasm and professionalism of the pool and spa community in Western Pennsylvania and Western New York.

As NESPA continues to expand, we look forward to building lasting connections and providing even more opportunities for education, networking, and industry engagement across our growing territories!
