Pool and Spa Builders, Installer and Designers must now comply with the Suction Entrapment Requirements in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
If installing submerged suction outlets (drains) you must:
Submerged suction outlets must be separated by 3 feet
Suction Outlets (main drains) must have approved AMSE covers
All circulation systems with submerged suction outlets must be protected by some means of atmospheric vacuum relief
