Learn about:

Wage & Hourly exposure   - the legal side.  What is overtime?  Who is entitled to overtime?  How is it calculated?  What about exempt employees?  What about piecework?    Do you have to pay extra for holiday and night work? Are you in compliance?  We will discuss all of these items and more in a practical manner using everyday examples.

Employment Practices Many employers are subject to liability because they don’t have proper policies and procedures in place.  We will discuss some basic everyday items, such as vacation time, jury duty, bereavement time off, severance pay, I9 compliance, independent contractors, documenting employee performance, and of course, the new Paid Sick Leave Act.

Registrants will also be polled to determine if they would like any additional information covered.
