It seems it was many
years ago when November was viewed as, “…the end of the busy season.”
In today’s fast-paced
business world November now seems to signal the beginning of business planning
and training for next year. This is where we are focused this time of year as
If you scan the event
and training schedules on the NESPA and CONSPA web sites you will find some
terrific opportunities to choose from. http://www.nespapool.org/ChapterSites/CONSPA
CONSPA is also
packing membership meetings with specialized teaching and training that you and
your team will find very worthwhile:
- Our October meeting
featured a Round Table format on the subject of Pool and Spa Renovations.
If you attended this event you will receive a copy of notes recorded by
individual table facilitators- these notes will include the great ideas
submitted by participants.
- Our November 18th
meeting topic will cover Basic Shotcrete Technology, presented by Bill
Drakely who is an established expert in the field. If you work with
concrete structures you won’t want to miss this meeting! Look for the
flyer and sign up!
- We are bringing
back our very successful “Mastering
Your Marketplace” series in February, March and April which will
feature cutting edge technologies that the marketplace is demanding. These
meetings are designed for sales, installation and service people. The
venue limits attendance so we can assure that your staff can ask all their
questions and get quality answers; also, we look to keep the registration
costs low for these meetings so you can send everyone! Look for the first
flyer in January.
Other important news…
CONSPA presented a check to the Co-Founders
and Program Director- David and Cynthia Kim, last week. Our collective
efforts- which includes some wonderful and generous sponsors- raised more than
$6,000 through our August golf tournament! The Children Of Fallen Patriots
foundation grants scholarships for college tuition to young adult children of
military families who have lost a parent. 100% of every donation goes to
scholarships! The costs for running this foundation are fully underwritten by
generous sponsors and volunteers. http://www.fallenpatriots.org/
A huge thank you to Mike Giannamore and our board who did a terrific
job on this successful fundraiser.
Get Licensed Now! There will be
plenty of opportunities to attend an APSP
“Certified Maintenance Specialist” (CMS) course between November and
March. CMS is the minimum
certification required to apply for the SP-2 test. For more information, please
