2014 December Message

On behalf of the CONSPA board, we’d like to thank our members for a terrific year.

May you, your families and your businesses be richly blessed this holiday season and throughout 2015!

As this is the last month of the year, I’m including some news, important events fast approaching in 2015, and a brief 2014 report.

News and CONSPA meeting schedule for 2015:

  • Toys For Tots: The CONSPA board is made up of some of the most wonderful and generous people I’ve had the pleasure to work with!

In November, our board approved monies from the, “Good Will Fund” towards the purchase of toys for children of needy families in Connecticut. Two angels- Holly Kulowski, a long-time board member and past president, and her son went shopping and purchased a table full of toys! (see picture).

Representatives from The Marine Corps picked up their stash and is delivering it all to homes in Connecticut where the holidays will be just a bit more fun this year! Love it! J

  • Due to popular demand we are bringing back our “Mastering Your Marketplace” series for February, March and Aprilwe’ll send out details as the dates approach. These meetings will feature the latest technologies that the marketplace is demanding. We design these meetings for those involved in sales, installation and service.  Attendance is limited so your staff can ask all their questions and get quality answers. These meetings are sponsored which helps keep the registration costs low! We are also rotating the venue location to give everyone an opportunity to get out on a Tuesday night. Look for the February meeting flyer next month.  Presenters will be: Hayward in February; Zodiac (Jandy) in March and Pentair in April.

  • I mentioned last month that we had presented a $6,000. check to, “Children Of Fallen Patriots Foundation.”  They were so grateful at Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation  this unexpected contribution, they asked if there was anything they could do for us! I responded, “… is there any way you can connect our contribution to swimming ? Such as competitive or recreational pool/spa use?”  I am happy to report that they are looking to link CONSPA’s donation to a student involved in competitive swimming at the collegiate level.  Perhaps we will find ourselves helping a future Olympic swim team member! More on this later.  www.fallenpatriots.org

  • Get Licensed Now! There will be plenty of opportunities to attend an APSP  “Certified Maintenance Specialist” (CMS) course between December and March. CMS is the minimum certification required to apply for the SP-2 test. For more information, please visit our web site http://www.nespapool.org/ChapterSites/CONSPA and click on link to NESPA site for a full schedule of classes near you!

  • Don’t miss our 2nd Annual reception for CONSPA members at Top Of The Trop in Atlantic City; Tuesday night during the Pool and Spa Show. This event is for “Members Only” -- our way of thanking you for being a part of CONSPA.

We look forward to seeing you in Atlantic City. Ron brings news from NESPA board that this year’s show will be larger than last year and include 30 additional vendors from all over the world. Check it out! Show offerings include seminars and training for your entire team.  http://www.nespapool.org/

Thank you for reading!

Stay safe out there!

Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah, Happy New Year!

All the best!
