It is with a heavy heart that we inform NESPA members that Frank J. Borrelle III, NESPA President, passed away suddenly on Tuesday March 1st. He was 64.
Frank began his career volunteering for NESPA over 12 years ago as an alternate member of the Board of Directors representing the Penn Jersey Chapter. He later moved up to a permanent Director position where he served for more than 8 years. Frank was elected Secretary of NESPA in 2012 and advanced through all the leadership chairs and ultimately was elected President of NESPA in September 2015. Throughout his years of service to NESPA, Frank served on just about every committee and Task Force lending his knowledge and expertise to help make NESPA the exemplary association it is today. Frank was awarded his 40 year member pin in the NESPA Quarter Century Club in 2015 attesting to his many years of volunteer service to our industry and its trade associations.
After serving in the Air Force with a tour of duty in Vietnam, Frank worked in the pool and spa industry for his entire professional career. He worked for many years at Audubon-Cesco a long time NESPA member company rising to Vice President of the Swimming Pool Division in 1985 and ultimately, launched his own company, Borrelle Pool Services in 2004. Frank also enjoyed using his talents as a photography enthusiast capturing the job of chapter photographer for many years and also lending his talents as photographer at the Pool & Spa Show in Atlantic City prior to his tenure as Show Chair in 2015. Frank will be missed by all.
